Carmelitas on 66th street and 62nd avenue pinellas park Florida 33781 is now open today got power back on but are internet is still down due to the hurricane Irma so we will only accept cash until further notice thanks and hope to see you soon

If you need Mexican food there are better options but this plus will do in a pinch. It is good for big groups though.

I had a 1800 Ultimate Margarita and it was perfectly blended. The atmosphere is authentic and the stag very attentive. We had our drinks in the first 4 minutes, and our food in 10.

Food was super amazing and margaritas were phenomenal... Our waitress unfortunately was less than lack luster, never brought our waters and we were the only people in her section and she just talked to her friend or coworker loudly in the booth next to us the whole time. She couldn't even manage a smile. We were her only table, and she never asked us how we were doing or if we needed more chips and salsa... Just hope to not have her again... Will just got park St. Location from now on

$40 for a pitcher of margarita. Obsurd! Food was mediocre and meat was dry. My fiance and I were excited to find a place that served Mexican tacos and margaritas but the prices were insane for the quality of food. And like I said.. $40 for a pitcher of margarita!!! Don't go unless you want overpriced, mediocre food/drinks. Not worth the money. Avoid!***Go to Senor Taco instead. Same size pitcher of margarita for $17.99 - actually reasonably priced and far superior service!

Ok spot. Little different in these times. I enjoy this brand. But not my normal spot. Just had an weird vibe when we ate. And they sat us literally in the pick up line for Togo orders.

food is bland, no taste, no flavor, food was cold very displeased... I also order the veggie portion because i dont eat meat and they give me beans with pork hello of they are vegeterians why give then pork or options for pork

Came here for lunch and it was pretty good. Had an enchilada. The salsa is excellent, the first basket of chips we got was sort of stale tasting (still good enough to eat though) the second was way better. Lunch prices are very reasonable, I thought dinner prices seemed high. I'd come back.

Excellent food and excellent service for a reasonable price. Far superior to any Mexican restaurant we have experienced in the St Pete Beach area. Well worth the drive !!

Delicious as always! I had chicken enchiladas with refried beans & corn & it was great. Chips & salsa were so so good too. My dinner companions had the chicken fajitas & shredded beef enchiladas & both said they were good. You can't go wrong with Carmelita's.

Carmelita's is an institution in this area. It's been around forever and the food is ALWAYS awesome. The prices are reasonable and the chips and salsa are addicting. Our family enjoys Friday night dinners together here!

Id give them a ZERO if it was an option walked in nobody there to seat me so i seated myself 5 mins go by and finally some kid comes out and gives me menu and walks away doesn't ask if i want drinks some people kept looking at me but never came over to see if i was being taken care of multiple times i was passed by and nobody took my order i finally just got up and left will never come back

Carmelita's has awesome food, but do yourself a favor and go to the Park St. location. It's right around the corner, and they never disappoint. I hate when I accidentally order from this location, instead of the Park St location. This location skimps on queso, and always gives me nasty soggy nachos. Park St. location is always on point.

There are 2 Carmelita's within 5 miles of each other in the area. This one is horrible. We sat at our table for over 15 minutes after we ordered with no drinks ( water and diet soda) we finally had enough and walked out. As we were leaving I looked back to see if anyone had noticed only to see an employee's children helping them self's ( playing with ) at the soda machine! We drove to the one on Park street and had a wonderful dining experience. I will never go back to the one on 66th street again!

The most bland food I've ever eaten. Almost walked out twice waiting on my drink and then my food. Went for the all you can eat tacos. Believe me that one plate was enough. No taste at all. Meat in taco was so dry and blah. Just terrible service and food. Avoid at all costs. When this fat boy leaves an all you can eat after the first serving, the food has to suck.

Awesome Mexican restaurant! Meet some friends here and was very excited to have some drinks and eat delicious food. Carmelita's did not disappoint! They had great menu options and once it all arrived to the table the plates were overflowing with food. Everything was delicious and my margarita was cold and refreshing. If you love Mexican food don't hesitate to stop by and grab your favorite! I will certainly return to sample more items from their menu!

This place is SO good and has the *best* Mexican food anywhere!! The waiter lied about how "small" the taco salad was... lol But it was absolutely delicious! I was so dang stuffed when we left. I love this restaurant!!

I Love this place! Since my husband and I moved down from Chicago we have not been able to find any good Mexican food. When I first visited Carmelita's I expected it to be the same experience but oh my goodness did it surprise me. We've been back several times and we will continue to come back and recommend it to everyone.

Was a very pleasant experience. We have tried some other Mexican restaurant locations in the area and been left disappointed. But not here. The service was good, our waitress was a sweetheart. She was courteous and pleasant. All food and drinks came in a reasonable amount of time. The food was absolutely wonderful. Only negative thing I can say is the taco meat seemed a little bland. But that was cured with a little of their homemade hot sauce. I recommend trying the sauces. The totopo has a tiny bit of heat and decent flavor while the red hot has a bit more heat and still nice flavor. We ordered containers of the sauces to take home.We will definitely be coming back.

Horrible service. We waited 15 minutes for our tab. All the while servers were on their phones, visiting, etc. We finally went to the front desk and the lady asked us how many. We told her we already ate and said we were waiting for someone to bring us our tab because we would like to leave. She started lecturing us saying that we were rude, etc. and that it was not her fault. I just looked at her and said a server should never say it is not your fault. She continued to lecture us very loud as she walked back to get our server. We paid and left. It is really too bad because we live very close to this place and every time we've come up here we have had issues with the service. They just don't seem to care about their customers.

The salsa is made with marinara sauce very tomato base and no kick to it at all. The food is not authentic. The restaurant is very nice but the food is mediocre. If you’re looking for real Mexican flavors skip out on this place.

Very quiet at the time we wete there. It picked up by 5pm. The service was great and the food was wonderful! Lots of choices. Thankfully, fir me, the menue was in English so I knew what I was ordering. The frozen Margarita was good. I would definitely come back!

When I pulled up I was expecting to order at a counter then seat myself. It's actually a large, sit down restaurant. Decor is pretty typical for an American Mexican place, a bit OTT but nice. Our service was solid and the food was FANTASTIC. I had a the steak burrito (hot) and it was delicious. Although I'd call it medium instead of hot, the flavors were bang on. The steak was perfect, and actually seasoned. We tried the white cheese dip, which was okay but not great. The lunch meal burrito with 2 sides was also great. For 2 meals, drinks, and cheese dip we came out at $33.

Horrible service. Went last night for Valentines day dinner.. Our server didnt even know if they had cherry coke. Then our food came. My tacos were so soggy they fell apart as i picked them up. Had to scoop everything out and eat it with a fork. Our server didnt care and did nothing to correct the issue. I could have eaten better mexican food from taco bell.

We love to eat here. The food is always fresh and well made. I had 3 tacos with black beans and a side salad. It was so much food I had to bring home most of the side salad. I would recommend this restaurant.

Fast, friendly service. Been coming here for 3 years because it close to my house. We love the taco salad and chimichangas. We also like the Mexican pizza, taco, and fajita. We like most the entree here. Good portion size, always have leftover to take home. The dessert are okay. The place is clean but a little outdated.

I ordered Camelita's from GrubHub and it was WELL worth it. I got the Verdes Enchiladas and if you like some spicy with your flavor, I highly recommend. I got the mild spice and it still makes my mouth tingle. If you like heat, I think even the mild will suffice. I will definitely order again. Cannot wait to try their chimichangas!
